SIG-FAQ0001
Q. Who can sign-off the ICU Data once the data entry has been completed?
Only users who hold the ICU Signoff role for ICCQIP can sign-off on cases and periods. Please refer to the
Sign-Off User Guide
under the
Help
section on the ICU DCS for detailed instructions. The ICU signoff role should be held by a senior member e.g. ICU ICCQIP Local administrator, or senior staff at the unit responsible for the data.
SIG-FAQ0002
Q. If cultures are drawn peripherally and via CVC lines and both are positive, do they get entered separately or just count as one culture?
The ICU BSI data collection protocol does not distinguish between whether blood cultures are drawn peripherally or via CVC lines. Please treat this simply as multiple positive blood cultures and refer to the Please refer to the
ICU Protocol
for detailed guidance on how to report multiple positive blood cultures. The BSI Event Form has a section where you may enter data relating to CVC.
